"The Guishe Renewable Substation (貴舍R/S) New Construction Civil Works EPC Project" Wins the Ministry of Economic Affairs 2025 "Public Construction Excellence Award" and "Government e-Procurement Porta

This project is part of the "Grid Resilience Enhancement Program" under the decentralized green energy supply initiative, aimed at directly delivering electricity to the Chiayi Science Park (嘉義科學園區) while enhancing the resilience of the regional power grid. The temporary modular area is expected to contribute 250 MW of renewable energy to the grid, while the main Guishe Renewable Substation (貴舍R/S) is projected to integrate 500 MW of renewable energy, with the final expansion phase targeting 1,000 MW. This initiative will play a significant role in advancing Taiwan's green energy development.
Throughout the project, the team strictly adhered to the highest standards of quality, safety, health, and environmental protection, while introducing innovative techniques. Key features and highlights of the project include:
1.Precast Concrete Construction Method
As the first engineering project introduced by Taiwan Power Company using this method, it fully supports the Ministry of Labor’s "Four Modernizations of Construction Industry" policy, addressing the current labor shortage in the construction industry. This method significantly shortens construction timelines and minimizes weather-related delays. The use of precast concrete improves site safety and construction quality by reducing on-site rebar tying, formwork assembly, and scaffold installation, which in turn significantly reduces construction risks.
2.Non-Impact Precast Concrete Piles
This pile foundation method offers precise positioning, low noise, minimal vibration, and faster construction speed, with minimal environmental impact and no secondary pollution. This approach reflects the company's strong commitment to environmental protection.
3.Enhanced Waterproofing Quality
The basement and foundation slab areas of the project use superior Polyurea Waterproofing Coating, offering excellent waterproof performance. Additionally, the precast exterior walls incorporate a dual-layer waterproofing system combined with a pressure relief space, effectively preventing water ingress and ensuring long-lasting waterproofing durability.
4.Modular Plastic Formwork System
The use of environmentally friendly plastic formwork offers numerous advantages, including high efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, improved safety, and greater construction precision. It far surpasses traditional wooden formwork, meeting the demands for green construction in the era of net-zero carbon emissions.
5.Application of Heavy Lifting Equipment
The project utilizes large-scale lifting machinery in conjunction with aerial work platforms, which reduces manual labor, minimizes scaffold construction, and improves construction efficiency while lowering operational risks.
